MacGregor Black is recruiting on behalf of a leading global FMCG beverage brand seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Marketing Manager to take full ownership of a portfolio of coffee brands across the UK & Ireland. This is a pivotal hybrid, full-time role combining strategic brand leadership with hands-on marketing execution.
You’ll be responsible for driving brand growth across retail, ecommerce, and foodservice channels, overseeing everything from brand strategy and creative development to commercial performance and team leadership. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of high-profile coffee brands in one of the most competitive and evolving beverage categories.
Brand Strategy & Development: Set and execute the strategic vision for a portfolio of coffee brands. Deliver annual and mid-term plans that grow market share and enhance brand equity across all channels.
Marketing Execution: Lead all brand marketing activities across paid, owned, and earned media. Develop high-impact campaigns that resonate with both consumers and trade partners.
Brand Guardianship: Ensure all brand touchpoints align with global brand standards and guidelines, upholding visual and messaging consistency.
Commercial Insight: Analyze brand performance, monitor profitability, identify risks and growth opportunities, and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
Retail & Ecommerce Activation: Execute channel-specific strategies including in-store promotions, ecommerce campaigns, trade calendars, and digital media plans.
Event & Campaign Management: Manage the brand’s presence at key events, sponsorships, sampling campaigns, and customer activations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, supply chain, sales, category teams, and sustainability departments to bring new products to market.
Budget Management: Take full ownership of marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness, accurate tracking, and budget optimization.
Agency & Partner Coordination: Liaise with creative and media agencies to ensure campaign execution is on time and within budget.
Private Label Innovation: Develop custom NPD and private-label brand strategies tailored to major clients.
Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a Brand Manager, fostering growth, performance, and development.
Proven experience as a senior marketer in FMCG, ideally within food, beverages, or hot drinks.
Strong track record in brand and budget ownership with commercial P&L experience.
Leadership experience with line management and cross-functional team coordination.
Expertise in marketing strategy, media planning, and campaign delivery across various platforms.
Hands-on knowledge of ecommerce marketing and direct-to-consumer approaches.
Proficiency in analyzing data and deriving actionable marketing insights.
Strong communication skills and creative briefing abilities.
Willingness to travel and occasionally work outside standard business hours.
A marketing degree or professional qualification is preferred but not essential.
