Marketing Officer

 

Description:

Passionate about getting customers through the door and tickets sold, the Marketing Officer will lead on hyping our museum exhibitions and events, and getting as much profile as possible for our large-scale festivals and events. You will enjoy running multi-channel marketing campaigns, across print, outdoor, social, email and online. You will have good experience of creative content generation, campaign budget management and will be able to manage your time and projects well. You will have decent experience of producing campaigns for arts or heritage events.

The core aims of your role would be to:

  • Develop and deliver an effective marketing plan for the Museum of Gloucester
  • Market ticketed Museum exhibitions to ensure they hit their income targets
  • Support the promotion of the commercial side of the Museum (shop, hires, education)
  • Provide dedicated marketing resource for the promotion of city-wide festivals and events (Gloucester Goes Retro, Tall Ships, etc) as needed.

This varied, exciting role is a great opportunity to connect the stories in our museum with a wide audience. You will be able to make a big impact as this role has the potential to grow visitor numbers quickly. This role will be predominantly based at the Museum of Gloucester, though you may find yourself working in one of our other venues or at an event. This role is initially on a 2-year fixed term contract at 18.5 hours per week.
