Marketing Officer

Description:

Precision Golf is Europe’s leading independent custom-fitting and golf performance centre. Growing successfully for 20 years, we have built an unparalleled reputation and position in the industry. Looking after tour professionals such as Colin Montgomerie all the way through the amateur ranks, everyone at Precision Golf is aligned behind one common goal: to help golfers of all abilities play their best game.

We are now looking for an experienced Marketing Officer to step into a newly created role and take our marketing to the next level. This means supporting our ambitious growth plans and taking full ownership of our marketing strategy - driving brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition across multiple channels.

Role Overview:

As our Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels. You will manage all social media platforms, oversee content creation, and optimise campaigns to support business growth. This is a hands-on role, reporting to and working closely with the directors, requiring both strategic thinking and practical execution.

Marketing is storytelling, and it is vital that the successful candidate is able to tell the right story about what makes Precision Golf unique. We live and breathe golf, and understanding and appreciating the care that goes into our product and the service we deliver to clients is critical. So we expect the perfect candidate will be a golfer. If you don’t play golf, we are open to being convinced that this isn’t a necessary qualification!

As a part-time role, this may be the ideal opportunity for an experienced marketer who is looking to step back from full-time work whilst still being engaged and challenged within a very appealing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Manage and create content for social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
  • Build valuable marketing partnerships and collaborations (within the industry, with high profile golfers and influencers, golf societies etc)
  • Oversee website content, SEO, and paid digital advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads).
  • Develop and execute effective email marketing campaigns and CRM strategies.
  • Manage and grow our “Ambassador Programme” client referral scheme.
  • Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics, providing actionable insights.
  • Work closely with sales management to align marketing efforts with business development.
  • Plan and manage our marketing spend effectively.
  • Explore new marketing trends and innovations to keep the brand competitive.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, and designers where necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within an SME environment.
  • Ability to work on-site at West Byfleet.
  • Comfortable running projects, working independently and making things happen.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, and social media.
  • Excellent content creation skills, including copywriting and visual content direction.
  • Experience with CRM systems and email marketing platforms. Ability to analyse data and translate insights into effective strategies.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive and hands-on approach.
  • Experience in the golf industry a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with a discretionary bonus based on performance (individual and company).
  • Close working relationship with the Directors and key stakeholders, with real input into business decisions and strategy.
  • A dynamic, collaborative and friendly environment in an ambitious company.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
