Maths Tutor

Description:

FIND is supporting a leading Lancashire-based Training Provider to recruit a Maths Tutor to deliver Functional Skills Maths up to Level 2 to groups of learners. The role involves supporting Study Programme students by delivering high-quality maths lessons to help learners develop skills and achieve qualifications for their progression.

Key Duties:

• Deliver high-quality maths sessions across the Study Programme and promote digital skills development.

• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and related resources aligned with Subject Content Statements.

• Mark all work and provide constructive feedback to learners.

• Track learner progress and implement catch-up plans when necessary.

• Conduct entry-level assessments as required by awarding organisations.

• Maintain communication with relevant parties including Study Programme Tutors and Work Experience Officers.

• Adhere to observation schedules and reflect on feedback to improve delivery.

Applicant Requirements:

• Recognised teaching qualification such as CertED, PGCE, CTLLS, or DTLLS.

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Maths.

Desirable:

• Knowledge and understanding of Functional Skills Subject Content.

• Experience delivering Functional Skills qualifications.

• Level 4 or 5 Subject Specialism in Maths.

• Knowledge of Study Programme and Jobcentre Plus (JCP).
