Attleborough Auto Centre LTD, a trusted and busy garage located at Attleborough Fields Industrial Estate, is currently hiring for a Mechanic & MOT Tester to join their dedicated team. As a Mechanic and certified MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and MOT tests on a wide range of vehicle makes and models. The role requires mechanical expertise, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs.

• Conduct Class 4 & 7 MOT tests in compliance with DVSA standards.

• Identify and repair faults in vehicle systems, including electrical, suspension, brakes, clutches, and gearboxes.

• Complete vehicle servicing tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake checks.

• Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used.

• Clearly communicate vehicle issues and repair recommendations to customers.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the workshop.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience as a qualified Mechanic.

• Valid MOT Tester Certification (Classes 4 & 7).

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to vehicle repairs.

• Full, valid UK driving licence.

• Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
