They are expanding their team by recruiting an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Manager/Coordinator responsible for overseeing M&E aspects from pre-construction through project completion.

Role Overview:
The M&E Manager/Coordinator ensures all mechanical and electrical installations meet quality, compliance, and safety standards. Acting as the key liaison between design teams, subcontractors, and site teams, you will lead coordination efforts, promote sustainable technologies, and manage on-site M&E activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure M&E installations comply with building regulations, statutory requirements, and industry best practices

• Collaborate with design and pre-construction teams to review and coordinate M&E designs, identifying and resolving design clarifications

• Keep current with M&E legislation, British Standards, and Building Control requirements, ensuring compliance throughout projects

• Support site activities during installation phases to verify works match drawings, specifications, and project timelines

• Apply knowledge of low-carbon and energy-efficient systems to promote sustainability and decarbonisation

• Act as main M&E contact for design consultants, contractors, clients, and internal teams

• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, commissioning plans, and handover documentation

• Proactively resolve technical issues to maintain project momentum and quality

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven M&E management/co-ordination experience in construction, mechanical bias preferred

• Strong understanding of M&E building regulations, British Standards, and Building Control

• Ability to interpret and review M&E design drawings and specifications

• Experience working with pre-construction teams to address design gaps

• Practical knowledge of sustainable and decarbonisation systems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Highly organised and process-driven with multi-tasking capability

• Hands-on site experience managing trades and subcontractors

Qualifications:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent

• CSCS Card (relevant category)

• Full UK Driving Licence
