Description:
Arup is seeking a Mechanical Services Engineer to join their Building Services Engineering Team, part of a multidisciplinary group. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across several sectors, including advanced manufacturing, health, education, energy, sport, commercial, and mixed-use developments, with a strong focus on sustainability and Zero Carbon goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be involved in all stages of projects from feasibility to completion
- Contribute to delivering Zero Carbon projects for clients
- Help drive the digital transformation of the business and explore automation to improve efficiency
- Work on medium to large-scale mechanical services engineering projects
- Provide guidance to technicians and graduates working on your projects
- Work in a BIM environment using tools like Revit
- Perform dynamic thermal modelling (IES preferred)
Qualifications:
- Qualification in Mechanical, Building Services, or Architectural Engineering
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution (e.g., IMechE or CIBSE)
- Experience working on medium to large-scale mechanical services engineering projects
- Familiarity with BIM tools like Revit
- Experience with dynamic thermal modelling, preferably IES
