We are now searching for a Mechanical Project Leader to join us at our site in Peterborough:

Job Purpose

Lead the design and continuous improvement of food processing machinery, ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Design and develop the full range of food process equipment
• Generate drawings, calculations, specifications, and parts lists
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and support teams
• Support sales and customer service as a technical expert
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
• Identify opportunities for product improvements and cost efficiencies
   

Qualifications
 

• Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in designing food processing or similar machinery
• Knowledge of materials, hygiene standards, and regulations
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo)
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Experience leading projects or teams is a plus.
