McGee, a renowned specialist demolition and engineering contractor with over six decades of industry expertise, is hiring for two pivotal full-time on-site roles in the London Area: a Temporary Site Services Mechanical Supervisor and an Electrical Appointed Person (AP). These positions are part of McGee’s growing internal Temporary Site Services division and are critical to the safe and efficient delivery of high-profile, complex construction and demolition projects.

These roles are ideal for seasoned professionals with hands-on experience in temporary mechanical or electrical installations on construction sites. The candidates will demonstrate excellent supervisory skills, proactive decision-making abilities, and a commitment to safety and high-quality work standards in live site environments.

Key Responsibilities (Shared by Both Roles):

• Supervise temporary mechanical or electrical installations on-site.

• Prepare and deliver RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements) and task-specific briefings.

• Plan and coordinate works effectively within live construction settings.

• Solve technical and operational issues promptly on-site.

• Maintain strict safety compliance and ensure high standards of workmanship.

• Support project delivery teams by managing temporary utilities and site services.

Role-Specific Duties:

• Mechanical Supervisor will focus on the oversight of mechanical site services.

• Electrical Appointed Person (AP) will take responsibility for electrical safety, inspection, and authorisation tasks; AP experience is essential.

Requirements:

• Relevant ECS/JIB cards (white, gold, black as applicable).

• Experience in site-based temporary mechanical or electrical systems.

• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capability.

• In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards.

• Strong preventive maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting skills.

• Electrical qualifications and certification required for AP role.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
