The Media Partner is a pivotal, supplier-facing role within the Ocado Ads organisation. You will be instrumental in executing a critical transformation, helping to define and deliver a new way of working with our partners that ultimately drives value for our suppliers, Ocado, and our customers.
Your primary focus will be to own, consult, and deliver media plans for a designated portfolio of FMCG suppliers. This involves building trusted relationships, developing customer-first media strategies aligned with promotional plans, and managing ambitious commercial revenue targets. The role demands a highly commercial and credible individual with a strong passion for the high-growth Retail Media industry and an aptitude for navigating a complex, transformational environment.
What You’ll Do
Account Management & Commercial Delivery
- Own and manage a portfolio of supplier partner media accounts, in partnership with your Media Planning Manager, driving commercial media revenue across the portfolio.
- Develop and pitch compelling, customer-first media plans across onsite, offsite, and emerging media channels across the Ocado Ads portfolio.
- Work closely with the Buying/Commercial Department to ensure all media plans are strategically aligned with the business’s commercial direction and promotional calendar.
- Plan and optimise media campaigns, owning performance conversations and leading this section in quarterly business reviews.
- Lead on Ads Manager rollout for your book of business, maximising usage and efficiencies
- Own Beet set up, invoicing and supplier usage to maximise their experience with the tool.
Strategy & Expertise
- Become the go-to expert in Ocado Retail's media proposition, advising suppliers on the best strategies and tactics to market effectively to our customers.
- Contribute strategically to the wider retail media transformation roadmap, helping to build out new processes and operating models.
- Be able to communicate data and insight clearly and concisely to various functions and seniority levels across both the supplier and internal teams.
Relationship Management
- Proactively build and maintain strong trusting relationships with key contacts across supplier partners and critical internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that media plans link clearly to supplier objectives (e.g., NPD launches, volume drive) while enhancing the overall customer shopping experience.
Who You Are
Essential Skills & Experience
- At least 2 years of experience trading online media, managing digital marketing campaigns, or in a commercial account management role.
- Direct experience working with retail media plans, FMCG brand partners, and/or media agencies.
- Strong analytical capability and commercial acumen, comfortable with sales and negotiation.
- A strong passion for the retail media industry and a desire to be part of a major transformation roadmap.
- Proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
