My client is a rapidly growing, VC-backed biotech company based in Europe, dedicated to developing transformative therapies for patients with diabetes and related metabolic conditions. As they progress their pipeline into Phase 2 and beyond, they are looking for a freelance Medical Director to a lead/execute part of the clinical development strategy whilst working closely with the Chief Medical Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the medical strategy and development of late-stage pipeline in diabetes/endocrinology, with a focus on Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials.
• Providing expert medical guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams, including clinical research, regulatory affairs, and commercial development.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and investigators in the diabetes field.
• Representing the company at medical conferences and scientific meetings.
• Overseeing all aspects of clinical trial conduct, ensuring adherence to the highest ethical and regulatory standards.
