Description:

Carrot Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing biotech company expanding its UK Medical Affairs team and currently seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). This remote-based role offers a unique chance to contribute meaningfully to the oncology therapeutic area, playing a vital role in improving patient outcomes across the UK.

As part of a close-knit and mission-driven medical affairs team, the MSL will act as a scientific expert, interfacing with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and the wider scientific community to support the company’s oncology portfolio. This role will be instrumental in the launch phase of multiple oncology products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a scientific authority on the oncology pipeline, offering up-to-date and expert medical insights.

  • Build and sustain relationships with HCPs, KOLs, clinical investigators, and academic institutions across the UK.

  • Present clinical data in an unbiased, ethical, and compliant manner in response to unsolicited requests.

  • Collect and analyze field insights on emerging trends, clinical practices, and opportunities to guide the internal medical strategy.

  • Represent the organization at national and international medical and scientific conferences.

  • Provide site support for clinical trial operations, including site identification, feasibility, and engagement with investigators.

  • Deliver internal and external training on medical topics, fostering informed scientific dialogue.

Requirements:

  • An advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc, or equivalent in life sciences, medicine, or pharmacy).

  • Demonstrated MSL experience in oncology, with a preference for expertise in gynaecologic oncology.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interpret and convey complex data.

  • In-depth understanding of the UK regulatory landscape, clinical research practices, and drug development processes.

  • Ethical approach to stakeholder engagement and medical communication.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK as needed.
