Description:
Genesis Research, a leading consultancy specializing in real-world evidence (RWE) and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), is seeking a highly motivated Medical/Scientific Writer to join its growing Scientific Communication Team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for scientific storytelling, attention to detail, and the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and accurately to a broad range of stakeholders including healthcare providers, payers, and regulatory bodies.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality scientific content across diverse formats such as peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference abstracts, posters, and slide presentations. You will collaborate with internal researchers and client teams to ensure clarity, precision, and scientific rigor in all communications. The position demands a solid grounding in life sciences or public health, exceptional writing and editing skills, and a proactive, self-directed work ethic.
Write, revise, and finalize scientific documents including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks.
Develop and interpret data visualizations such as tables and figures using source documents.
Conduct literature searches and synthesize relevant findings.
Participate in client-facing meetings remotely and communicate project updates.
Ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client and journal guidelines.
Copyedit and proofread documents authored by team members to ensure quality control.
Contribute to journal and conference submissions while complying with formatting standards.
Assist in process improvement initiatives and internal thought leadership.
Mentor and support junior writing staff and interns.
Stay updated on industry standards and compliance regulations related to scientific writing.
Master’s degree or higher in life sciences, public health, or health economics-related discipline.
2+ years of experience in scientific or medical writing, either professionally or in an academic setting.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and scientific accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with GraphPad Prism, Adobe Illustrator/InDesign/Acrobat Pro is a plus.
Knowledge of EndNote or reference management software.
Prior experience in pharmaceutical, RWE, epidemiology, public health, or HEOR domains is highly desirable.
Basic graphic design experience is considered an asset.
