Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and edit a diverse range of medical communications materials, including educational content, symposia deliverables, digital resources, publications, and training materials.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including scientific directors, project managers, and clients to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and scientific integrity.

  • Build in-depth scientific understanding across multiple therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Rare Diseases, Cardiovascular, and Diabetes.

  • Ensure all materials comply with regulatory standards and client requirements.

  • Contribute to multi-component projects that span across medical affairs, scientific communications, and medical education initiatives.

  • Engage in client discussions, providing scientific and strategic input where needed.

  • Support junior writers and participate in internal peer review processes.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, timelines, and attention to detail.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Writer or Senior Medical Writer within a UK-based medical communications agency.

  • Strong background in life sciences, ideally with an advanced degree (PhD, MSc, or equivalent).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distil complex scientific information into clear and engaging content.

  • Familiarity with medical affairs and publications processes, including congress materials, slide decks, manuscripts, and digital content.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in managing client relationships and delivering projects on time and to high standards.

  • Full rights to work in the UK.
