About The Role

Working as part of a collaborative Agile delivery team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software solutions that are scalable, reliable and aligned to business needs.

You'll contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from reviewing requirements and technical designs through to development, testing and deployment. Alongside delivering quality code, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, share ideas with the wider team and contribute to the continued evolution of our technology platforms.

We are passionate about innovation and continuously explore emerging technologies, including AI, to improve the way we build and deliver solutions.

What You'll Be Doing
 

• Designing, building and maintaining high-quality software solutions.
• Developing clean, efficient and reusable code aligned to engineering best practice.
• Reviewing technical specifications and solution designs before development begins.
• Working within a modern microservices architecture to deliver scalable services and applications.
• Collaborating with Product Owners, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers and fellow Developers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Identifying opportunities to improve existing applications, services and development processes.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Carrying out peer code reviews and providing constructive feedback to colleagues.
• Supporting troubleshooting, defect resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation where required.
• Contributing to a culture of learning, innovation and knowledge sharing across the Technology team.

You'll Bring
 

• Commercial experience developing applications using C#.
• Experience working with modern software development practices and principles.
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• For Front-End and Full Stack Developers, strong experience with Angular.
• Understanding of APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Experience creating clear technical documentation.
• Financial services experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
