Middle Office Dealing Analyst

 

Description:

The Middle Office Dealing Analyst role is an exciting opportunity for a competent candidate to progress their career at Computershare. The role will primarily involve handling all transaction reporting responsibilities and tasks contained within the team, which include reconciliation of all relevant logs and reports, submission and approval of manual transaction reports, and analysis of any reporting discrepancies.

Transaction reporting is a mandatory process designed to provide competent authorities with information about transactions in a way that allow the competent authorities to detect and investigate suspected market abuse. Given the regulatory requirements involved, it is vital that all transaction reporting tasks and responsibilities are completed in full on a daily basis, and therefore a flexible attitude is a necessity.

Additional responsibilities contained within the role include supporting invoicing in connection with our brokers, producing management information, generating bespoke reports and statistics, and handling enquiries from across the wider department. The role requires close working relationships with various internal teams and departments. There will also be opportunities to support other tasks and responsibilities contained within the team, such as best execution analysis and quality assurance of end-to-end trade cycles.

 

What key responsibilities you will have in the role?

  • Completing transaction reporting tasks and ensuring all obligations are fulfilled on a daily basis
  • Updating and managing core system platforms
  • Conducting reconciliation break analysis and resolution
  • Producing management information, reports, and statistics as required
  • Maintaining department policies, procedures, and mandates in line with agreed cycle or regulatory/business changes
  • Breach reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures
  • Identifying risks and issues, and ensuring that these are resolved or escalated with recommendations for resolution
  • Prioritising all workloads to ensure timescales are achieved
  • Liaising with Risk, Compliance, Plan Managers, Dealing Reconciliation, and Dealing Desk
  • Supporting other functions within the Middle office framework as required, such as best execution analysis and quality assurance of end-to-end trade cycles

 

What will you bring to the role?

  • Knowledge of Issuer services and/or share dealing operations
  • Ability to prioritise workloads in a time critical regulated environment and work to tight deadlines
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse information to make key decisions
  • Good commercial acumen and ability to communicate well to a wide demographic
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations as they pertain to share dealing, including but not limited to COBS, CASS, and SYSC
  • Experience of using Microsoft packages, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Access
