Description:

Pearson is seeking a dedicated Modified Formats Processing Coordinator to join their Qualifications Processing (QP) directorate. This role is integral in delivering accessible exam materials to students with visual impairments and additional needs, ensuring full inclusivity during assessments. The position is office-based in Hellaby, Rotherham, and is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

The successful candidate will report to the Modified Formats Team Manager and play a crucial role in delivering modified exam materials such as braille and large print papers across General, Vocational, and Functional Skills Qualifications. Working to immovable deadlines, this individual will ensure that every student receives the appropriate modified exam paper in time for their assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute exam paper processing tasks as assigned by the Team Manager while maintaining agreed service levels

  • Perform quality checks on exam materials, ensuring adherence to Pearson house styles and UKAAF guidance

  • Communicate with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers via phone and email

  • Manage third-party supplier coordination

  • Train and support temporary staff during peak periods

  • Provide second-line support to customer service teams and manage escalations effectively

  • Maintain a working understanding of accessibility regulations in qualifications (e.g., JCQ regulations)

  • Support additional Customer Operations processes as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage high-priority tasks simultaneously

  • Customer-focused with the ability to build internal and external working relationships

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Ability to understand complex systems and apply compliance regulations

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with Oracle systems (AS400 iSeries/IQS)

  • Prior exposure to Awarding Organizations and their operational frameworks

Additional Information:
