Description:
We are excited to be looking for a Motion Graphic Designer to join our Picture Head team in London. This position is ideal for someone looking for a mid-weight role. This is a creative and technical role, with a particular focus on the finishing and versioning of promotional A/V materials for Film and Television (including Trailers, TV Spots, Social Media output, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of After Effects, a solid understanding of the visual arts, a healthy curiosity for design, and proven problem-solving abilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce 2D and 3D motion graphics in accordance with Picture Head’s highest standards, as well as to client expectations
- Creating branded motion graphics with various elements, combining software output such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator, and more
- Adapting existing graphics into new formats (e.g., 16x9 redesign to 1x1 for Instagram)
- Localising existing graphics for international distribution
- Converting elements into various formats for client viewing and editorial use
- Build and refine workflows, and problem solving alongside the Lead Motion Graphic Designer as well as global Graphic Teams
- Coordinating with outside agencies, art services and clients as needed with each project
- Work collaboratively with our editorial and production teams, locally as well as globally
- Collaborative training and execution on local and global workflows across various projects, teams, and software
Requirements:
- Fully proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Strong After Effects design and animation skills, and experience with third party plugins, such as Element 3D, Red Giant, Boris FX (Sapphire, Continuum)
- Experience with post-production compositing, such as motion tracking, chroma key and rotoscoping
- Experience of working to a high standard against tight deadlines
- At least 2 years of experience in a graphic design role
- Knowledge of Cinema 4D, modelling, texturing, and rendering would be a great addition
