National Account Manager

Description:

The Advocate Group is seeking a National Account Manager – Grocery to take full ownership of a key grocery account within a rapidly evolving food business that has undergone a strategic rebrand and is investing significantly in future growth.

In this high-impact, commercially driven role, you will report to the National Account Controller and lead the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives with a leading UK grocery retailer. This includes overseeing joint business plan (JBP) execution, driving promotional planning and forecasting, and nurturing high-value customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a key UK grocery account and lead a major retail growth initiative

• Execute Joint Business Plans (JBP) and deliver on commercial goals

• Plan promotions and forecast performance effectively

• Liaise with senior retail stakeholders and internal teams

• Actively shape and contribute to the business’s evolving commercial strategy

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated experience as a National Account Manager or a capable Junior NAM ready for advancement

• Experience managing major UK grocery accounts, preferably one of the Top 4

• Strong commercial acumen and confidence in high-stakes negotiations

• Highly collaborative, credible, and able to foster trust across internal and external stakeholders

• Adaptive and enthusiastic in dynamic, growth-focused environments

• Annual Salary: £60,000

• Monthly Salary: £5000

• Additional: Car allowance + 20% performance-based bonus
