Searchability NS&D is expanding its National Security & Defence division into a brand-new, state-of-the-art Manchester office. The company is seeking ambitious and commercially astute Recruitment Consultants to help scale its operations and manage key client relationships across the UK’s defence, security, and technology sectors.

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with high-profile clients such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Capgemini. You’ll oversee the complete 360° recruitment cycle — from business development and talent sourcing to offer negotiation and placement. This position is perfect for individuals who are results-driven, tech-savvy, and passionate about connecting exceptional talent with cutting-edge organizations in the national security space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and nurture client relationships within the National Security & Defence market.

• Handle the entire 360° recruitment process, including business development, talent sourcing, and placement.

• Utilize a best-in-class tech suite to identify and engage highly skilled, hard-to-find technical candidates.

• Collaborate across the Searchability Group brands and share market insights with colleagues nationwide.

• Communicate confidently with senior clients and candidates, many holding SC/DV security clearances.

• Proactively grow a portfolio of clients and candidates through market research, outreach, and relationship-building.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an agency recruitment environment (IT, Digital, Engineering, or Defence sectors preferred).

• Proven track record of consistent billing success and client relationship management.

• Strong commercial awareness, ambition, and professional credibility.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in mentoring or coaching junior consultants is desirable.

• Ability to commute to Manchester city centre at least three days a week.
