Neonatal Staff Nurse

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Neonatal Staff Nurse to join their Special Care Baby Unit in Carmarthen. The role involves delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to vulnerable newborns while working within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care for neonates in special care, high dependency, or intensive care settings, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to clinical changes. The nurse will liaise with families, safeguarding teams, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and promote family-integrated care.

The position offers specialist training, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to continuous service improvement. Shift work across a 24/7 rota is required, and rotation between units or support for transitional care services may be expected. Welsh language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
