Network Engineer

Description:

FITFILE is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with specialization in cloud-native environments and tooling, particularly within Kubernetes. This role is essential for bridging data provider on-premises or cloud environments with FITFILE’s cloud-first infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable network solutions across multi-cloud and on-prem deployments.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on, pragmatic approach, capable of meeting tight deadlines in a lean, agile, early-stage environment. A strong interest in healthcare data and understanding its operational impact is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce secure configurations on Kubernetes clusters with OPA policies and best practices.

• Design, integrate, deploy, and manage network infrastructure including firewalls, load balancers, DNS (public/private), and routing.

• Implement system-wide zero-trust security principles.

• Roll out maintenance upgrades and patches to distributed systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across various platforms.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and GitOps processes.

• Implement and maintain a cloud-native observability system across multiple environments.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to gather requirements and provide secure solutions.

• AWS, Azure

• Kubernetes (Helm, ArgoCD, Calico, Nginx)

• Hashicorp Vault (Secrets management)

• GitLab CI/CD

• Grafana stack for observability

• Terraform (Terraform Cloud)

• Auth0, Cloudflare, CalicoCloud (Tigera), Azure Container Registry

• Trivy, Renovate, SonarQube
