Nurse Specialist

NHS Fife is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Ophthalmology or a Specialist Optometrist to join their dynamic ophthalmology team. This role involves delivering high-quality optometry services, predominantly within adult ophthalmology clinics. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to contribute to the teaching and training of junior medical and nursing staff, with active encouragement to participate in research, audits, and in-service training. Funding is available for national meetings and conferences, supporting professional development.

This role is ideally suited to professionals who have completed Independent Prescribing and bring specialist clinical expertise in managing conditions such as glaucoma, corneal disorders, and dry eye disease. Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, maintain excellent patient care standards, and demonstrate leadership in specialist ophthalmology services.
