Description:
Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Business Assistant to support the Adult Eating Disorders Outpatient Team. This role provides key administrative support to clinical staff, multidisciplinary teams, external agencies, patients, and families.
The ideal candidate will be emotionally resilient, well-organized, and highly motivated, ensuring an efficient and effective service within a fast-paced environment.
Manage the team’s phoneline, handling patient appointments, cancellations, and general queries.
Ensure appointment slots are filled efficiently and accurately.
Handle general admin tasks including correspondence, scanning, photocopying, email management, and task tracking.
Liaise with clinical staff, patients, families, and external agencies.
Attend meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes.
Support clinical teams in providing high-quality patient care and smooth service transitions.
Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other IT systems effectively.
Prioritize workload independently while working collaboratively within a team.
Strong administrative skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Emotional resilience and ability to work in clinical/supportive environments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Subject to a 6-month probationary period (non-medical staff).
DBS disclosure cost will be deducted from salary.
