The company is currently seeking an Occupational Health Physician for a full-time, hybrid position. The role involves nationwide coverage with the flexibility of partial remote work. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring workforce health and operational effectiveness through professional medical assessments, detailed reporting, and expert guidance on workplace health matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive occupational health evaluations and fitness-for-work assessments.

  • Provide evidence-based, practical advice to employers on managing work-related health concerns.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation for all consultations and assessments.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clients to ensure high service standards.

  • Offer informed input on pension assessments, and where applicable, participate in FMA (Force Medical Adviser) and SMP (Selected Medical Practitioner) duties.

  • Ensure practices are aligned with current health and safety legislation and regulatory guidelines.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Medical degree and valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).

  • Demonstrated experience in occupational health, especially in conducting medical assessments and providing strategic fitness-for-work decisions.

  • In-depth understanding of UK health and safety laws applicable in workplace settings.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to interact effectively with both employers and employees.

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Prior experience in the police or other public sectors is preferred.

  • Experience with pension assessments, FMA, or SMP services is a significant advantage.
