Description:

Oxford Outcomes, under the umbrella of Acorn Education and Outcomes First Group, is looking for a dedicated and proactive Office Administrator to join Longdon Hall School in Lichfield, Staffordshire. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful educational environment, supporting young individuals with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

As part of the school’s front office team, the Office Administrator will support the Head of School and the Senior Leadership Team by ensuring smooth daily operations, offering high-quality administrative assistance, and maintaining effective communication with staff, visitors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general administrative tasks such as filing, typing, managing calls and handling inquiries

  • Welcome and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner

  • Manage orders and invoices using Focal Point, coordinating with the Head Office Accounts team

  • Maintain internal systems in line with policies and ensure operational efficiency

  • Handle sensitive and confidential data according to GDPR and safeguarding policies

  • Support daily school office functions and contribute to creating a welcoming front-desk environment

  • Promote and ensure the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people at all times

Working Conditions:

  • Contract Type: Permanent, Term-Time Only

  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm; Mondays until 4:30pm)

  • Location: On-site at Longdon Hall School

  • Sponsorship: Not available; UK applicants only

  • Trial 4-Day Working Week: Work 80% of hours for 100% pay (subject to probation and trial success)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in school administration or similar front-of-house roles

  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school setting

  • Familiarity with safeguarding standards and handling confidential information

  • Proficiency with office systems and administrative software
