Online Module Tutor

Description:

Kaplan is looking for experienced module tutors with a computing background to support and lead learning across undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) online programmes, in partnership with the University of Essex. This role is fully remote and involves working within Kaplan’s dynamic online faculty to provide high-quality teaching and assessment.

Subject Areas Include:

• Computer Science

• Launch into Computing

• Network Security

• Secure Software Development

• Data Science (e.g., Big Data, Visualising Data, Data Professional)

• Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Numerical Analysis, Machine Learning, Intelligent Agents)

• Cyber Security (e.g., Secure Systems Architecture, Digital Forensics, Cyber Law)

• Research Methods and Professional Practice

• Information Technology Management (e.g., IT Service Management, Enterprise IT Project Management, Cloud Operations)

Essential Criteria:

• Master’s degree in a related area.

• Experience teaching at UK HE levels 4-7.

• Willingness to teach both UG and PG students according to experience.

• Proficient IT skills and good interpersonal skills for liaising with academic colleagues and students virtually and face-to-face.

• Excellent written English communication.

• UK residency and reliable internet connection.

• Freelance contract excludes candidates on student visas.

Desirable Criteria:

• PhD in a related field (required for MSc Major Project supervision).

• Industry experience and online teaching experience.

• Familiarity with UK HE sector and quality assurance processes.

• Higher Education teaching qualifications and AdvanceHE fellowship.
