Online Operations Continuous Improvement

 

Description:

This is a great time to be joining the Food Online Operations team as the focus and profile of online has never been greater within the M&S Food Group, with ambitions to drive and transform Food Online. The purpose of this role is to support the Food Online Operations Team and work with a diverse set of stakeholders to support delivery of the day to day operation across all Food Online Categories (Flowers, Gifting, Drinks, Christmas Food to Order, and Cakes), identify and deliver improvements in these operations, and support the team building new operations to support the Food Online growth and transformation plans.

The main responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting Food Online Operations Manager and Food Online Operations Development manager to deliver and develop the Food Online daily operations and development plans and projects
  • Reporting & Analysis of operational metrics for Food online BUs
  • Identifying opportunities for improving & developing operations from these metrics
  • Managing continuous improvement projects for Food Online operations
  • Assisting in day to day management of food online operations
  • Assisting in the running of Christmas Food To Order campaign & operation
  • Working with stakeholders across the business to deliver end to end Food online operations and represent the Food Online operation

You will need

  • Enthusiasm for Data, Digital and the e-commerce / Retail industry
  • Experience delivering results and managing projects, ideally in a digital or e-commerce business
  • Experience in operational role, preferably within retail or e-commerce environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to prioritise and plan workload optimally as well as being able to collaborate closely and lead on multiple stakeholder needs and involvement
  • Good analytical ability, having a comfort with numbers and able to analyse data to spot trends, see opportunities and turn these into clear action plans
  • Motivated by problem solving; a quick learner, able to think end to end across the operation and demonstrating huge curiosity across a variety of business areas
  • Ability to define and implement new processes
  • Customer focused, always putting the needs of the customer first to ensure a superior NPS
  • Excellent written, communication, & presentation skills and the ability to be structured and organised, displaying ideas and concepts in a simple and effective way
  • Adaptable to change, always ready to refocus priorities based operational activity and business priorities
  • Great stakeholder management
