This role involves defining future-state architecture, designing migration strategies, integrating with enterprise infrastructure, and enabling DevOps workflows for containerised applications. Key Responsibilities
- Platform Architecture
- Design target-state OpenShift clusters including topology, networking and storage.
- Enable multi-region / multi-zone deployments with high availability and DR patterns.
- Apply OpenShift and Kubernetes best practices for scalability, resiliency and governance.
- Migration Strategy & Execution
- Assess current workloads and infrastructure for migration readiness.
- Develop migration plans including containerisation, data movement and cutover.
- Minimise downtime and business disruption during migration windows.
- Identify and mitigate technical, integration and operational risks.
- Infrastructure Integration (VMware + Pure Storage)
- Integrate OpenShift clusters into VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, NSX).
- Design and configure storage using Pure Storage (FlashArray, FlashBlade).
- Optimise compute & storage performance across the stack.
- Ensure compatibility between OpenShift, VMware and storage platforms.
- CI/CD & DevOps Enablement
- Design CI/CD pipelines for container-based workloads.
- Integrate OpenShift-native and ecosystem DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
- Automate deployments, scaling, updates and monitoring paths.
- Security & Scalability
