Description:
The Operations & Marketing Manager will be responsible for setting up and managing the systems, processes, and marketing infrastructure needed to run a compliant and impactful charity. This is a hands-on role: you’ll be directly managing tools, creating content, running campaigns, and building the foundations of our operations. As the organisation grows, there will be scope for the role to develop into a broader management position.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
· Establish and maintain key operational systems, processes, and platforms.
- Manage and maintain databases and donor records (Beacon CRM or equivalent).
- Support financial administration and liaise with external providers (experience with Xero desirable).
- Ensure compliance with UK fundraising regulations and charity governance requirements.
- Coordinate with fundraising platforms (e.g., Benevity, JustGiving) and maintain campaign pages.
Marketing & Communications
· Develop and implement KidsRights UK’s marketing and communications plan in alignment with the global strategy.
- Manage website content and updates.
- Create and schedule engaging content across social media platforms to grow brand awareness.
- Set up and run email campaigns (Mailchimp) and supporter newsletters.
- Work closely with the KidsRights team in the Netherlands on global communications and campaigns.
Fundraising & Engagement
· Coordinate and deliver fundraising campaigns and activities.
- Organise events and activities to engage donors and partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Support the development of donor engagement journeys and stewardship activities.
Preferred Requirements
· Proven experience in digital marketing campaigns (social media, email marketing, content creation).
- Strong operational and organisational skills, with experience setting up and managing systems and processes in a charity (Beacon/Xero/MailChimp/JustGiving/Benevity).
- Strong understanding of system integrations and data management across CRM, finance, and marketing platforms
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and juggle multiple priorities.
- Experience in event planning and delivery.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to grow into a management role as the organisation develops.
- Understanding of UK fundraising laws and regulations.
- A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a small, dynamic team.
