Airline Operations is a function within our airline organisation accountable for the safe and punctual delivery of the full flying programme according to planning schedules and budgets. The Airline Operations function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.

As Operations Disruption Manager your focus will be to develop robust operational processes and procedures for managing operational disruption, identify areas for improvement, facilitate disruption communication and support across TUI Airline, and additionally support the Head of Operations Control and Customer in the day to day management of the team

 

About The Job

As Operations Disruption Manager you’ll:

  • Identify and implement ways to improve the handling of operational disruption from within the TOCC
  • Develop a pro-active and customer centric approach to operational management, mitigating against risk and disruption, enabling strong communication with all stakeholders at all levels, across TUI Airline in all markets to coordinate coherent solutions
  • Drive closer working within the team, ensuring that customer considerations are balanced alongside those of aircraft and crew requirements during operational decision-making
  • Facilitate the development of operational contingency plans including crisis response and business continuity procedures
  • Develop, implement and maintain strong working practices and relationships with all key stakeholders relating to the TOCC and GOC, assisting the delivery of excellent service provision across all source markets
  • Build and lead an effective and efficient team, including routine assistance with critical management tasks such as rosters, payroll, slot management, training and reporting
  • Provide on-call operational management assistance outside of normal business hours including incident and crisis response
  • Deputise for the Head of Operations Control and Customer during leave periods

About You

  • Strong background and experience in crisis and disruption management
  • Good knowledge of the Airline Operations environment
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to operate in a complex environment
  • Awareness and knowledge of the Aviation regulatory environment
  • High degree of flexibility within a 24/7 environment and ability to work evenings and weekends as required during periods of operational disruption
  • Financially aware and cost conscious
  • Conscious of both operational and customer impacts on decisions
  • Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
