About the Role: The Operations Engineer role is to provide best practice technical expertise in the operation and improvement of the University’s system monitoring environment and services. This role will also assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of the monitoring and patching infrastructure. For a full list of requirements please see the attached job description.
The successful candidate will have experience of an enterprise scale IT infrastructure, have the current skills and knowledge required to manage SCOM or similar monitoring tools. They will also be used to resolving issues within a server environment and carrying out root cause analysis of recurring problems identified through the monitoring systems.
