Operations Executive

 

Description:

M&G, an international savings and investments business with a history spanning more than 170 years, is seeking an Operations Executive to join its team in Huddersfield. The company operates across Asset Management, Life, and Wealth, working collectively to deliver strong financial outcomes for clients and long-term shareholder value.

The Operations Executive will play a crucial role in the Operations and Onboarding team, providing support to new financial advisers joining Sandringham Financial Partners and the M&G Wealth Advice Academy. This cross-functional role involves ensuring smooth onboarding of advisers and their clients, working closely with process owners, and supporting multiple operational functions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Onboarding Manager in processing adviser applications for the Wealth Advice Academy and Sandringham Financial Partners.

  • Handling collation, scanning, and verification of adviser application paperwork.

  • Requesting regulatory and character references for new advisers.

  • Supporting the Agencies Coordinator in creating new agencies with financial product providers and managing fee-related queries.

  • Coordinating with product providers and directors to establish new terms of business.

  • Creating necessary system logins for advisers to conduct business.

  • Supporting the Transfer Coordinator in managing client data and fees transfers.

  • Preparing client transfer paperwork using mail merge functionality, and tracking submissions with providers.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all communications and tracking processes.

  • Providing regular updates to advisers on onboarding progress.

  • Undertaking other ad hoc operational duties as required.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Quick learner with proven ability to grasp new processes and detailed information.

  • Prior experience in administration and busy office environments.

  • Diligent, proactive, with strong attention to detail.

  • Financial services experience preferred but not essential.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.

  • Confident decision-maker, able to use own initiative.

  • Strong communication skills across written, verbal, and digital mediums.

  • Proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs.

  • Proactive, honest, and disciplined work ethic.
