Operations Manager

 

Description:

The Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects while supporting the growth and development of the business and team. This role involves leading the Project Management team, working across all teams and territories, and supporting the Senior Management Team. Key functions include managing the Project Managers and Operations team, change management, quality control, continuous improvement, team administration, reporting, and managing special projects.

 

The role requires collaboration with senior leaders and department heads to ensure effective processes are in place to produce high-quality work. The Operations Manager will support the Senior Management Team with project management and administrative tasks, ensuring focus on business management. Creative and collaborative solutions will be essential when working with stakeholders internally and externally.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

People Management:

  • Manage the Project Management team, line managing individual Project Managers, and fostering their development.
  • Support new processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure alignment with key business aims and operational activities.
  • Line manage direct reports to support their growth and development.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts and collaborate with HR for business cases supporting team growth.
  • Promote a culture of continual learning and development across the business.

 

Processes and Operations:

  • Ensure adherence to processes and policies for successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project plans and schedules to manage workload and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to enhance customer satisfaction mechanisms.
  • Analyze financial data to improve profitability and manage costs.
  • Continuously improve operational management systems and practices.
  • Communicate changes to stakeholders for successful adoption.
  • Manage special projects to achieve identified aims.
  • Assist in due diligence activities for acquisition opportunities.

 

Executive Delivery:

  • Ensure quality control through Project Management processes.
  • Support Senior Management in implementing their vision and process ideals.
  • Deputize in the absence of key Senior Management Team members when necessary.
  • Engage with stakeholders on behalf of the Senior Management Team.
  • Be a visible point of contact for employees regarding Senior Management Team matters.
  • Build strong relationships with the current Senior Management Team.

 

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of business/office software tools and Apple Mac.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Project Management-related qualifications.
