About the role

The Operations Manager role is to deliver statutory compliance, contract management, planned maintenance, reactive repair, porterage services and minor works projects whilst ensuring the health and safety of the SOAS environment for the students, staff and visitors. The Operations Manager will work as part of a wider estates team and will report to the Assistant Director of Estates – Capital and Infrastructure.

Managing staff, systems and services in order to provide value for money, high quality provision and cost-effective management for your area of responsibility.

Be the catalyst in improving service delivery standards for your team and services.

Implementing the SOAS strategy and leadership demonstrating broad, clear and innovative thinking with the objective of delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About you

You will need to demonstrate:
Customer and people skills.
Experience of effectively communicating both verbally and in writing, to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining an efficient and professional manner.
Organisation and establish work priorities and allocate accordingly.
Strong ability to pay close attention to detail.
Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
