Operations Manager

 

Description:

Responsible for the organisation and management of multiple exhibition and conference projects from conception to completion.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong experience of event operations, confidence in leading but also working as part of a team, and taking ownership on delivery of creative features.

 

This role reports directly into the Operations Director and your responsibilities will include:

 

  • The end-to-end delivery of conferences & exhibitions in the UK and worldwide.
  • As part of a team of 4, the role involves managing event budgets, supplier sourcing and relationships, event production, technical information communication, health and safety, virtual event support, cash flow management, post-show evaluation, and worldwide travel.
  • To be innovative, professional, attend training, collaborate with other teams, and accurately communicate with stakeholders.

 

The person

 

  • Experience (4-5 years minimum) in international B2B conferences and exhibitions.
  • IOSH Certification.
  • Detailed knowledge of small to large scale operations and Health & Safety best practice.
  • Strong negotiating and contract management skills.
  • Project Management; ability to oversee/manage multiple products.
  • Sound commercial awareness management of budgets for events and keeping within the budget set.
