Specsavers, a leading name in eye care and optical retail, is seeking a qualified Optometrist to join their newly opened Haddington store in East Lothian. Opened in August 2024, this brand-new location offers a modern working environment with three testing rooms equipped with state-of-the-art clinical technology such as OCT, ensuring you can provide the highest quality of patient care.
As part of the Specsavers team, you will deliver first-class clinical services, supported by a company passionate about professional growth and career progression. The role is open to both newly qualified and experienced optometrists, making it an excellent opportunity to grow, specialize, and even work toward becoming a future Specsavers Partner if desired.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using the latest clinical technology.
Provide expert advice and treatment recommendations with strong clinical judgment.
Deliver an outstanding patient experience, focusing on care and customer service.
Collaborate with the wider store team to drive clinical excellence and operational success.
Actively participate in continuous professional development and specialized training opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
Strong clinical judgment and patient care orientation.
A team player with excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
Open to continuous learning and specialization (e.g., Independent Prescribing, Glaucoma, Medical Retina, Paediatric Accreditations).
