Paediatrician

Description:

Psicon Ltd is seeking dedicated Paediatricians to join their Independent Clinical Network in Gloucestershire, providing specialised Autism assessments for children and adolescents aged 5–18. The role involves conducting developmental histories, observing children in sessions, reviewing reports, formulating diagnoses, providing feedback, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive developmental histories using preferred tools and methods

• Observe children/young people in sessions, ensuring age-appropriate and compassionate interaction

• Review ADOS reports, developmental history, and collateral information from home and school

• Formulate diagnoses and provide feedback with recommendations and signposting

• Collaborate with MDT for additional information or follow-up sessions

• Produce detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to DSM-5 criteria

• Request onward referrals as clinically necessary according to NHS Trust/ICB protocols

Requirements / Skills:

• GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice

• CCT in Paediatrics preferred but not essential

• Expertise in ASD assessments for children and adolescents

• Ability to travel to site for face-to-face work
