Better Placed Ltd, a Sunday Times Top 10 Employer, is recruiting a Paid Media Manager for a highly successful, fast-growing Ecommerce Retailer with over £100 million in annual turnover. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and evolve the paid media strategy for a truly iconic brand that combines the stability of an established business with the agility to make meaningful, strategic changes that directly impact overall performance.
As Paid Media Manager, you will have full ownership of the brand’s PPC strategy, driving performance across Paid Search, Shopping, and Display. Managing a substantial annual paid media budget of over £10 million, you will implement a data-driven, test-and-learn approach to continually optimise campaigns for maximum ROI. You will work closely with both the internal paid media team and external digital agency partners to deliver measurable results and support commercial growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead the brand’s paid media strategy with a strong focus on PPC.
Take ownership of PPC performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing impactful changes.
Manage and optimise a £10M+ annual paid media budget across multiple channels.
Work collaboratively with in-house specialists and digital agency partners to execute campaigns.
Apply consistent test-and-learn methodologies for new channel implementations.
Analyse and report on campaign performance, highlighting key achievements and commercial impact.
Oversee activity across Paid Search, Shopping, and Display campaigns to ensure maximum efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in senior-level PPC and paid media management roles.
Background in ecommerce (agency or in-house), with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Advanced knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, Bing Ads, and Google Tag Manager.
Strong strategic planning skills coupled with a hands-on approach to campaign execution.
Experience working with digital agencies preferred but not essential.
People management experience or strong ambition to step into a leadership role.
Commercially minded with a clear understanding of how digital experiences influence customer outcomes and business growth.
