Passive Fire Protection Technical Lead

Crown House Technologies, an in-house MEP Engineering business within the Laing O'Rourke Group, is seeking a highly motivated and technically minded Passive Fire Protection (PFP) Technical Lead to join its innovative team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to some of the UK’s most prestigious and technically advanced construction projects while ensuring that passive fire protection systems are seamlessly integrated from project inception to completion.

As a PFP Technical Leader, you will play a pivotal role in bridging architecture, structure, and MEP services, ensuring fire safety measures are robust, compliant, and forward-thinking. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and technical oversight, along with a passion for continuous learning and growth within this rapidly evolving sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• General: Manage passive fire protection across service penetrations and building fabric. Contribute to risk and opportunity registers while ensuring compliance with project-specific fire strategies. Lead knowledge sharing and ensure PFP systems meet all mandatory standards.

• Design: Oversee the development of standardized PFP design solutions, coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, and ensure compliance with fire strategies. Evaluate and approve test data, specifications, and system selection, while maintaining robust documentation.

• Delivery: Collaborate with project teams to mitigate fire safety risks, manage assurance inspections, and enforce rigorous quality checks. Oversee handover processes, ensuring smooth client transitions and robust compliance.
