Description:

Project Art Works, an award-winning arts charity based in Hastings, is seeking a Philanthropy, Patron and Donor Manager to join its team in a newly established role focused on expanding and diversifying income streams. This is a rare opportunity for a passionate, proactive fundraising professional to significantly contribute to the growth and sustainability of a pioneering organisation that works with neurodivergent individuals and their support networks.

The postholder will be responsible for developing and implementing a long-term philanthropy strategy, building strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and high net worth individuals. The aim is to drive financial sustainability by identifying and cultivating new sources of unrestricted income through innovative and values-aligned strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a pipeline of new individual and corporate supporters including high net worth individuals

  • Build and manage a major donor prospect pool through research, networking, and stewardship

  • Represent Project Art Works at donor-facing meetings and events

  • Design and implement entrepreneurial strategies to increase revenue from commercial and philanthropic sources

  • Track, measure, and report on fundraising performance, meeting agreed KPIs and targets

  • Collaborate with the Project & Communications Manager to execute impactful campaigns

  • Lead all supporter communications from enquiry to follow-up

  • Produce detailed quarterly fundraising reports for senior leadership and the board

Contract & Working Conditions:

  • Fixed-term contract (2 years)

  • Part-time: 28 hours per week

  • Based in Hastings with flexible/remote working options available

  • Open to discussion on working hours and patterns

Person Specification:

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Experience in identifying, researching, and engaging new donors or business partners

  • Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of major donors

  • Ability to work to and exceed KPIs in a performance-focused setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in managing high-value relationships

  • Proven cross-team collaboration and stakeholder engagement

Desirable Attributes:

  • Interest in disability rights, inclusive practice, and the visual arts

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills under pressure

  • Confident both as a team player and working independently

  • Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication
