Payments & Cards Operations Officer

The role of the Payment and Cards Operations Officer reports directly into the The Deputy Head of Payment and Card Operations or the Senior Operations Team Lead. The role is to work within a team of Payment and Card Operations officers in order to ensure that all Handelsbanken customer payments are sent/received accurately and all payment queries are investigated thoroughly and timely.

Main Responsibilities
 

  • Work as part of the team to ensure the day to day activities and work flow are adequately prioritised to suit shifting demand
  • Work independently to carry out daily tasks, in accordance with relevant procedures and controls, to ensure payments are actioned correctly and branches supported with any payment related queries/recoveries and investigations
  • Work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Take responsibility to ensure all payment queries/exceptions and clearing differences are resolved as quickly as possible
  • When needed support the implementation of change to payment processes
  • Contribute the development and maintenance of Payment Operations procedures
  • Support and embed the Handelsbanken culture within the department
  • Operates in line with the Bank's Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.
