Description:
Morgan Sindall Engineering Solutions Limited is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join their Central Services Team. This full-time hybrid role offers the opportunity to work within one of the UK’s leading construction and infrastructure organizations. The successful candidate will support payroll processing, pensions, and benefits administration for a diverse workforce.
The role involves processing both weekly and monthly payrolls—approximately 4000 monthly and 300 weekly employees—alongside responsibilities related to pensions, benefits, and expense management. The ideal candidate will also help support a key transition project as the company moves from Cascade to MHR iTrent, offering further project involvement opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
Manage pension reporting and handle joiners, leavers, and transfers.
Administer P11Ds and daily expense reports.
Ensure compliance with GDPR and all legislative/statutory payroll regulations.
Liaise with HMRC and third-party providers to resolve payroll queries.
Address and resolve complex payroll issues, escalating as needed.
Suggest process improvements and collaborate with broader HR and business teams.
Support strategic payroll and HR projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Solid knowledge of payroll processing procedures and UK payroll legislation.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
Understanding of pension regulations and auto-enrolment requirements.
Clear communication skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with MHR iTrent is desirable.
High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a willingness to learn.
