Description:

Apex Resources Ltd is actively seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team on a part-time basis, working three days per week (24 hours total). This is a standalone role, ideal for an experienced and confident payroll professional who enjoys autonomy and ownership in their work. The position is a 12-week temp-to-perm contract, offering both flexibility and the potential for long-term employment.

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for handling the end-to-end payroll process, including reviewing timesheets, processing hours and amendments in SAGE Payroll, and managing new starters, leavers, and contract changes. Other key tasks include submitting monthly reports to HMRC, generating month-end financial reports, handling statutory payments such as SSP and SMP, and addressing payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC compliance requirements. Familiarity with SAGE Payroll is essential, and the candidate must be confident in working independently.
