William James Recruitment is seeking an experienced EL/PL Litigation Executive or Solicitor to join a growing and dynamic Personal Injury department in Manchester. This is a hybrid role offering excellent flexibility and a competitive benefits package.
This is a fantastic opportunity for legal professionals with experience in Employers' Liability and Public Liability cases to handle a diverse caseload of Fast-Track and Multi-Track matters. You will be fully responsible for the progression of your own files, managing all aspects of litigation from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
Responsibilities include drafting witness statements, reviewing expert medical evidence, instructing experts and barristers, attending conferences and court, and making strategic decisions on liability, quantum, and settlement negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage an EL/PL caseload
Handle cases from start to finish, including all stages of litigation
Draft pleadings, review medical and expert reports, and liaise with counsel
Attend case conferences and court hearings when required
Prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
Provide exceptional communication and client care
Ideal Candidate Profile:
2+ years of experience in EL/PL personal injury claims
Preferably with litigation experience (training provided if not)
Strong drafting, negotiation, and case management skills
Highly organized, team-oriented, and self-driven
Excellent written and verbal communication
