Description:
Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit is partnering with ateb to recruit an experienced Planned Maintenance Supervisor. This key role will support ateb’s Property Directorate by ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of planned maintenance, cyclical decoration, and retrofit programs. The position demands both strategic leadership and hands-on operational management to meet ateb’s SAM improvement strategy, Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS), and PAS 2035 compliance.
You will manage teams, contractors, projects, and oversee performance while ensuring compliance with safety legislation, government standards, and delivering excellent customer service. You will play a critical role in investment planning, performance monitoring, customer feedback resolution, and driving continuous improvement through lessons learned.
Manage planned and cyclical maintenance works in line with WHQS, PAS 2035, and ateb’s Strategic Asset Management plan.
Lead and coordinate contractors, surveyors, consultants, and admin staff.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
Oversee compliance with CDM regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
Support investment planning and monitor performance metrics.
Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives based on lessons learned.
Proven experience in property maintenance and construction technology.
Knowledge of stock condition surveys, Fire Risk Assessments, and Asbestos Assessments.
Management experience within social housing or related sectors.
HNC/HND or higher qualification in construction, property, or related field.
PAS Retrofit Assessor Level 4 qualification (essential).
Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) desirable.
Professional body membership (CIOB or RICS) or working toward membership preferred.
Strong skills in people management, project leadership, and budget oversight.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 and property asset management systems.
Equivalent experience considered; development support offered for most criteria met.
