Planning Actuary

Description:

Your role will focus on leading and coordinating planning and forecasting in the Actuarial Department. This will involve working closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team to provide the Actuarial parts of the planning process. This person will coordinate the SME resource in the rest of Actuarial to ensure the Actuarial inputs into annual business plan are delivery on time and to a high standard. In the rest of the year they will deliver re-forecasts and analyse deviation vs Plan and the previous Forecast. They will also be responsible for coordinating the development in Anaplan of the Actuarial planning model.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Actuarial Input into annual business planning exercise
• Provide reforecasts and analyses of deviation against Plan
• Lead the development of the Actuarial planning model in Anaplan

Skills & Experience

• Fellow of Institute of Actuaries or equivalent. We may consider an experienced nearly qualified.
• A strong academic record, with at least a 2:1 degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics or Business
• Strong communication of technical subjects
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• This is a general insurance role, but we may consider actuaries from other disciplines.
• Knowledge of Anaplan is an advantage
