Description:
Virgin Money is seeking a Planning Manager – Resource Forecasting to join its Customer Transformation & Operations team. This is a remote-based, permanent position offering an opportunity to lead a high-performing team of planners responsible for producing accurate strategic and capacity forecasting across operational functions.
The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, effective leader with a strong understanding of workforce planning in large, complex organisations, and the ability to collaborate across departments to support the business in delivering optimal customer service and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a skilled team of Planning Analysts to deliver effective workforce plans.
Create and present accurate demand and resource forecasts to senior leadership, enabling informed strategic decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Strategy, Finance, Risk, Marketing, and Customer Value.
Chair stakeholder meetings, providing critical insights on demand trends, resourcing strategies, and performance metrics.
Oversee risk management and ensure forecasting aligns with agreed service levels and commercial goals.
Support development and execution of long-term business and operational strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
Extensive experience in workforce planning and resource modelling, including long-term strategic planning and intra-day customer demand profiling.
Proven leadership in managing planning teams and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
Skilled in analytical and productivity tools including Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
Commercial acumen with experience using data to guide business strategy, performance analysis, and forecasting.
Background in financial services or operations is highly desirable.
Capable of deputising for the Senior Planning Manager when required.
