Description:
As a Groundworker with Web Buildings, you will be responsible for laying concrete bases for various residential projects alongside a labourer, ensuring all works are completed to the highest quality standards and in keeping with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Site surveying upcoming jobs.
- Preparation of construction sites, materials, and tools.
- Organising the delivery of skips, materials, and concrete
- Excavating site for MOT type 1 sub-base using mini digger or by hand where necessary.
- Setting up of shuttering to a high degree of accuracy.
- Tamping, floating, or brushing of concrete to a finish as required
- Read and understand plans and project specifications , and execute work accordingly.
- Collaborate with team members, and other trades where required.
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, plant and machinery relevant to the role.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and health & safety regulations.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Ensure the jobsite is left clean and tidy on completion.
Requirements
- Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude to work and life.
- Must be able to travel to, or relocate to Hyde Cheshire to collect van, plant and tools on a daily basis.
- Minimum of 2-years experience in groundwork or a related field.
- CSCS Card.
- CIS Card
- Strong understanding of construction principles and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret basic plans.
- Competency in using hand tools, power tools, plant and other machinery.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills - happy to speak with customers.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, and perform strenuous tasks.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to drive to various locations across the North West and beyond on a daily basis.
- Occasional overnight stays when necessary.
