Pmo Manager

Description:

We are supporting a high growth, private equity backed, international business as they hire a PMO Manager to build and run the engine behind their transformation and exit journey.

This is one of the most influential roles in the business.

Reporting into the Group CFO, you will own the global project portfolio, the governance behind delivery, and the data that sits behind every board and investor conversation.

The business is ambitious. There are lots of initiatives in flight. Systems, processes, cost, growth, reporting, data and controls are all being improved as part of a value creation plan.

What they now need is someone to bring structure, discipline and visibility to all of it.

What you will be doing

You will create and run a high performing, global PMO.

That means:

  • Designing how projects are run, governed and reported across the group
  • Creating the templates, dashboards and standards everyone uses
  • Owning the full project portfolio so leadership knows what is on track and what is not
  • Running programme planning, tracking, risk and dependency management
  • Supporting board and steering committees with clear, commercial reporting
  • Making sure all change activity links back to value creation and strategy
  • Preparing the business for due diligence with clean, auditable project and performance data
  • Leading exit readiness activities including data rooms, KPIs and reporting hygiene
  • Acting as a trusted partner to the CFO, CEO and investors
  • Driving a culture of accountability, delivery and continuous improvement

You are the person who makes sure the plan actually happens.

What they are looking for

This role suits someone who thrives on structure, clarity and delivery in complex environments.

You will probably have:

  • Built or run a PMO in a multi site or international business
  • Worked in or around private equity, transactions or exit readiness
  • Led large scale transformation or ERP style programmes
  • Designed governance, reporting and portfolio management frameworks
  • Strong Excel, data and reporting skills
  • The confidence to sit with boards and challenge when things drift

Project management qualifications are helpful, but mindset and experience matter more.

The type of person who will do well

This is not a soft coordination role.

They are looking for someone who is:

  • Structured and organised
  • Commercially aware
  • Comfortable with pressure
  • Calm with senior stakeholders
  • Obsessed with things being done properly
